Born in Madinah and grew up in the UAE where she completed the memorisation of the whole Quran at the age of 11. She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Islamic Sciences from The UAE University, with specialisation in Hadith and Tafseer. In 2015 she has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship from the University of Hull where she attained a Masters Degree in Leadership and Learning. Her thesis was an investigation of the leadership values and practices at the Islamic schools in the UK.
She is a passionate and qualified educator with over 9 years experience in working as a teacher with several secondary schools and mosques in the UAE and the UK. She has held a position of the headteacher of Al Yasmina International Academy in Abu Dhabi for two years before moving to the UK.
